Anamaria Marinca bio

Anamaria Martinca is an actor from Romania. She won the British Academy Television Award Best Actress for her role in the Channel 4 film Sex Traffic. French, German English and Romanian are fluent languages. Her father is an theater professor at one of Romania's most prestigious drama schools. The actress won the Best Female Actor Award for the Year 2000 in the Mangalia Young Actor Gala. In 2008, she was recognized as a European Shooting Star' by the European Film Promotion Board. She taught for four years at University of Fine Arts Music and Drama George Enescu Iasi. bAnamaria Marina is an Romanian actor who was born in Iasi Romania on 1 April 1978. Anamaria Marinca, an actress with Romanian origins, made her screen debut in the television series British-Canadian called Sex Traffic. She won the British Academy Television Award Best Actress award for her performance in this film. In addition to her outstanding performance in her debut film she will also remain in the memory of her part of her role in the Romanian movie "4 months 3 weeks and 2 days" which earned her many accolades, among them her the European Film Award of Best Actress from the London Film Critics. In 2007, her role on Cristian Mungiu's Romanian art film, 4 luni 3 weeks si 2 zile (4 months 3 weeks and two days) earned her the Palme d'Or Award at the Cannes Film Festival 2007 and two other awards, the Cinema Prize for the French National Education System as well as the FIPRESCI Prize. Youth Without Youth, a Francis Ford Coppola movie, was also a part of her career. In 2008, she played Yasim anwar, a character from the BBC 5-episode miniseries The Last Enemy. Marinca played roles in Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven as well as the Romanian drama Boogie. Later she as the role of Irma's German aunt in Fury that was released in 2014.
