Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the United States of America, is an actor and a singer. She is an Michigan native, born and fostered by her parents, Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) and Tom Bell (a TV news director). Her family ancestry includes Polish (mother) as well as German, English, Irish and Scottish (father). Kristen developed a talent for the arts at the age of a child. Her role was as Raggedy Ann in 1992 after attending her first audition. Bell received an agent who was appointed by her mother before the age of 13 and was subsequently cast as a model on newspapers and television commercials. Along with taking private lessons and acting lessons, she started her career in the year 2000. Bell played an uncredited part in Polish Wedding (1998), a film released in 1998. Bell went to Shrine Catholic High School, where she took part in drama and music club. The Wizard of Oz was staged by her high school, and she was awarded the part of Dorothy. Bell later moved to New York City, to the Tisch School of the Arts. She was a musical theatre student at the Tisch School of the Arts. Bell quit her studies in 2001 and assumed the role of Becky the character of Tom Sawyer. It was also in 2001 when Bell's debut appearance was in a film that was credited to her, Pootie Tang (2002). Unfortunately her scene was cut and the credits only display her. Bell was seen together with Angela Bettis and Liam Neeson in 2002's Broadway revival of The Crucible.
